Our Frequently Asked Questions

About huski home

WHAT IS OUR MISSION?

To reduce single-use plastic and repurpose natural natural waste, that would other-wise go to landfill.

HOW DID WE START?

We grew more passionate about sustainability when our son, Leo, became an eco-warrior in primary school.

WHERE ARE WE LOCATED?

Huski Home is a U.K. based brand, located just outside of London in Dartford, Kent

About our repurposed materials

WHY DO WE REPURPOSE NATURAL WASTE?

Through the processing  of food, beverages, and other products that use natural materials, a lot of waste is created.  Whether it be the discarded rice husks from the production of rice, or coconut husk  from the production of coconut milk, all of these natural materials would go to landfill, creating unnecessary waste and possibly causing ecological issues if not properly discarded or repurposed.  This is why we pride ourselves on utilising natural bi-products from mass produced materials.

WHAT IS RICE HUSK?

Rice husk is the outer shell of a grain of rice.  A natural, paper-like material that is discarded during the production of rice for consumption.

WHAT IS COCONUT HUSK?

Coconut husk, otherwise known as coconut shells, is the thick outer casing of the coconut fruit. Grown naturally on coconut trees.

WHAT IS COCONUT WOOD?

Our coconut wood is sources from coconut trees that no longer bear fruit.  Their trunks are cut, and carefully repurposed into our hand carved, wood homewares.

WHAT IS COFFEE HUSK?

Coffee husk, also known as coffee chaff - is the green, external casing of the coffee bean.  It’s removed for coffee production, creating mass quantities of natural pollution.
